Crude-oil futures crept higher on the final day of the trading year
Friday but finished 2006 with a flat performance, as traders weighed
supplies against milder-than-normal weather in the Eastern U.S.

Average on course for an almost 17% gain on the year, with investors
still cheering developments in the Apple Computer Inc. stock-options
