U.S. stocks turn mixed, as tech gains offsets retail weakness
U.S. stocks turned mixed Thursday, as strength in the technology sector
helped offset earlier weakness triggered by disappointing retailer sales
results, which stirred concerns over the resilience of consumers in a
slowing economy.
