U.S. stocks turn higher as falling oil lifts sentiment

NEW YORK - U.S. stocks turned higher on Tuesday, sending the Dow Jones
Industrial Average to a record high, as a big drop in crude oil prices,
along with merger news and upbeat results from Wal-Mart Stores Inc.,
helped lift overall sentiment, offsetting disappointing earnings from
Home Depot Inc.
