U.S. stocks turn mixed as rising oil offsets buyouts
NEW YORK
U.S. stocks turned mixed on Monday, as crude oil prices rose closer to
$62 a barrel, dampening investor enthusiasm and offsetting the latest
deal-making news, including the $45 billion takeover of TXU Corp., the
largest private-equity deal to date.
