U.S. stocks rally on easing Iran tensions, housing data
NEW YORK
U.S. stocks rallied on Tuesday, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average
by over 100 points, as investors cheered a drop in crude oil prices amid
easing tensions between the UK and Iran, and with sentiment lifted by a
rise in pending homes sales in February.

SAN FRANCISCO
Crude-oil futures dropped by more than 2% Tuesday, with signs of easing
tensions between the U.K. and Iran pulling prices to their lowest level
in a week.
Asia Markets: Broad-based advance lifts Nikkei; China taps new intraday
high
HONG KONG
Asian stocks rose Tuesday, with Shanghai hitting a fresh intraday high,
while Japan's Nikkei average advanced as investors bought Honda Motor
Co. and other shares that were beaten up in the previous session.
Economic Report: U.S. pending home sales climb modestly in February
WASHINGTON
Pending sales of U.S. homes rose by 0.7% in February, although the gain
may have been held in check by bad weather during the month and possible
negative impacts from the shakeout in the subprime lending market, the
National Association of Realtors said Tuesday.
