U.S. stocks volatile amid yields, oil woes
NEW YORK
U.S. stocks were up slightly in volatile trade on Thursday, with
investors still concerned about higher bond yields, which yesterday led
the Dow Jones Industrial Average to stumble nearly 150 points, and
rising crude oil prices.

WASHINGTON
Leading indicators of U.S. economic activity increased 0.3% in May,
suggesting the economy may have weathered the storm of the housing slump
and rising gas prices, the Conference Board said Thursday.

Crude-oil futures climbed Thursday, rebounding from prior-session
