Goldman Sachs profit rises 2%, once again outpacing expectations
Goldman Sachs said Tuesday that fourth-quarter net income rose 2% from a
year ago, with profit beating Wall Street estimates for the eighth
straight quarter, as investment-banking revenue rose sharply, offsetting
moderate growth in some other businesses.
Best Buy quarterly profit surges 52%

Best Buy Co., the largest U.S. electronics retailer, said Tuesday
third-quarter profit increased 52%, helped by holiday sales of
higher-ticket items such as video game consoles and laptop computers.
The company also lessened promotions on flat-panel televisions.
